Use case · Sign-up validation
Validate user emails the moment they sign up.
Every fake or mistyped sign-up email costs you: failed onboarding, bounced receipts, and skewed metrics. Verify addresses as users register so only reachable emails get in.
No monthly subscription · Credits never expire · Unknown results use no credits
Why verify at sign-up
- Users who mistype their email never receive verification or password emails
- Disposable inboxes inflate trial counts and abuse free tiers
- Invalid addresses hurt your sender reputation when you email them later
How it works
When a user submits your form, your server calls the EasyMailVerify API with the address. Use the result to accept it, ask the user to double-check it, or block it.
A sensible policy
- Passed: accept the account
- Failed: ask the user to correct the address
- Unknown: accept, but require email confirmation before full access
- Disposable flag: block or limit, depending on your product
Step by step
- 1
Create an API key
Open the API page in your EasyMailVerify dashboard and create a key for your production app.
- 2
Call the API from your backend
Send POST /api/v1/verify with the new user’s email when the sign-up form is submitted.
- 3
Act on the result
Accept Passed results, ask for a correction on Failed results, and require confirmation for Unknown results.
Frequently asked questions
Will this slow down my sign-up form?
Most checks return in seconds. If a check takes longer, the API returns an ID; you can let the user in and act on the result when it arrives.
Do repeat checks of the same email cost extra?
Each check uses credits by result: Passed and Failed cost one credit, Unknown is free. Use an Idempotency-Key to make retries of the same request free.
